Bankas is one of the oldest and by its historical
past one of the most prominent banks. Its
historical roots reach 23 June 1924 when the
Constituent meeting made a decision to establish
Žemės Bankas (Land Bank). At present the Bank

branches in all the largest towns and regions of
the country carry on the old banking traditions.
